Unlocking and Renewing Your License In Indigo Trinity Backup v.5

The following article describes how to Unlock your copy of Indigo Trinity Backup v.5 or renew your current license. If you are in a group of users using Indigo Backup you should consider usin remote licensing through Indigo Grid which greatly simplifies licensing - speak to your administrator about this option or read the Setting Up Indigo Backup For Corporate Networks Tutorial and contact us.

Unlocking or Renewing Your License

Unlocking or renewing your license in Indigo Trinity Backup is extremely simple. All you have to decide is if you require a license renewal or a first time licens. A first time license is for users who have just installed Indigo Backup and are using it under the 31 day trial period. In other words if you have never used Indigo Backup, have installed it on a PC for the first time, or are installing it on a PC after you have installed a new Windows Operating System, then you need a first time license. A renewal license is for those users who have been using Indigo Backup for a year or more on their PC and the Indigo software is telling them that their current license is about to expire.

Once you have decided which type of license you require, simply go to the Web Services page of the Indigo Backup software and connect to the web. If you have not already registered for a My Indigo account then do so using the Web Services page and then activate this account. If you already have an account then all you need to do is apply for an unlock code or a renewal unlock code as appropriate using the Web Services page. Follow the instructions and the rest is handled automatically - you will be sent your unlock code.

To enter your unlock code you must again use the Web Services page and choose the Unlocking Indigo Backup option. you will then be guided through the process.

Of course you can still enter the license in the same way as you did for Indigo Backup v.4 through the about box, but we would recommend that you use Web Services for this function as the process is far, far simpler.

Full details are available in the Help file that was installed with your copy of Indigo Backup. Click Help on the software's main menu.
